Come and check-out this creative collab this Sunday at TVM, featuring the crew behind Sybil & Johnny Vintage, What She Said Co, Austream Affairs and Tuckshop Goods.
This team of creators from various industries share the same hometown (right here on the GC!), a love for spreading good vibes & helping out their fellow small business owners. They all seem to have the same cruisey attitude to business and thought why not help each other out & create not just a stall, but an interactive stall to give back to their customers & draw new supporters in.
Come hang out, eat ice cream, listen to old tunes, check out the vintage threads & neon signs & have a good sticky beak at “The Boss” for your next event.
There will be a special giveaway happening on the day as well!
Here’s a rundown on the team to get you excited & give you a little more insight into their individual ventures...
SYBIL & JOHNNY
"We are two sisters that have a shopping addiction, lust for travel & backgrounds in Photography & Fashion Design. Our love for all things vintage began in Mum’s closet of course, lucky for us she kept everything! Being well travelled we have seen many different sides to life on this earth so we do our best to shop consciously in all aspects of our lives, especially our wardrobe. We want to bring vintage fashion to the wider community not just the style savvy & die hard vintage lovers. We hand pick all our pieces which eliminates the hours of hunting through racks for you guys! Our brands aesthetic is all about mixing vintage into your existing wardrobe with basics like T Shirts & denim, we also love to go against the grain & give new life to old threads & wear them in a way they weren’t intended to be worn. Some of our favourite things are beautiful vintage night gowns worn as sundresses or maxis & Tshirts over the top or button up dresses worn as robes over cut offs or minis. Come breathe new life into some beautiful threads no one else will have & help out the planet by not adding more wasted fabric to the pile."
TUCKSOP GOODS
"The boys from TUCKSHOP GOODS strayed away from their engineering careers to make ice cream after returning home from traveling overseas. They began mixing ice cream in their own kitchen then collaborated with award winning gelato master Fosco at Gelateria Dolce Follia in Burleigh to create their delicious range of ice cream. The boys have created super tasty flavours with all organic ingredients, as well as a dairy free coconut sorbet! (our favourite). Mmmmm ice cream."
AUSTREAM AFFAIRS
This amazing 1972 model vintage airstream was shipped over from Kansas, USA in a very weathered state only last year. Olivia & her team from Austream Affairs have transformed “the boss” into the sleek & shiny head turner it is today.
The Iconic Airstream has proven to have a very high promotional value and has been used with great success by various companies for major events nationwide. A highlight of “the boss’ “ journey would be cruising the east coast as the Billabong Bikini Truck. The airstream’s fit out is designed to be versatile & accommodate every type of event. Olivia uses her background as an interior designer to rework the style of the airstream to suit any brand or clients needs. Most recently, the boss was styled up to be a beautiful pop up bar for Spell & the Gypsy Collective’s Christmas party & has been used as a pop store/ display station for various industry trade shows. It’s the perfect showstopper for private parties & weddings.
