Think bold neckpieces and bracelets in both bright and neutral tones, guaranteed to turn heads. JBK has also added a selection of homewares to the menu, just to tempt us even more.
Whatever your taste, we assure you this stall is definitely worth a visit.
Meet Kim Hurst...
Jewellery by Kim (JBK) was born when..
I have always been a little creative, but started making jewellery about 5 years ago, when I made a pair of earrings for a friend and was hooked right from the start.
My range includes…
I love to make statement pieces, something that people go WOW!
My creative background…
I have no real creative background, I just liked making things that were a little bit different.
JBK pieces designed and made…
Everything I design and make is done in my studio at the back of my home, it's an amazing space, I love it, it's my own creative hideaway.
Visit my stall at TVM and you will find amongst my latest collection..
I have no real "latest collection" I can make something different every night of the week. Although I also love to work with wood, my latest thing with wood is rescuing old timber palings and bringing them back to life as wall art and home décor.
My mood board looks a little like..
My mood board is in my head!! If I think of something that I think will look amazing, It refuses to leave my head until I have actually created the design.... most of the time it works out, but sometimes I can be like "what was I thinking".
I like to create to the tunes of..
I listen to lots of different genres in music, love rock, country, blues..at the moment The Gaslight Anthem are no. 1 on my list.
A day in the life of me goes something like…
A day in the life of me consists of work, family, creating... I am very lucky to have such a supportive husband who allows me to do what I do.
My favourite TVM stall is….
I love all the stalls at TVM, although I have to say I couldn't do without Designs by Dust. I can honestly say that I probably have an item of clothing from every stall at TVM.
What can we expect from JBK in 2014?
I really don't do collections, I just make something I love till I decide to make something I love more. My plan for the future is to pretty much keep doing what I'm doing becuase I love it so much.
I have had a stall at TVM pretty much from the beginning and it has made my life so much richer with all the amazing friends that I have made over the years... TVM has actually become a huge part of my life, I just love it!!!
…and we love you right back, Kim! x
