Giving Back :: Project Preserve

Feb 27, 2020 | Giving Back

We were recently approached by Melanie Sweeney and Bryton Al, university students looking to use their skills and creativity for good, by creating Project Preserve. The pair have designed thoughtful tote bags and will be donating 100% of sales proceeds to World Wide Fund for Nature's (WWF) Bushfire Emergency Fund. This fund will go towards helping injured wildlife, restoring habitats and future proofing Australia.

TVM: Hi guys, we love your project and we're excited you chose TVM as a platform to sell your totes. What lead you to choosing us for Project Preserve?

The Village Markets would be a great avenue for us to promote our cause, because they emphasize creativity and community.

Why do you think it’s important for organisations to give back to their local community?

It is important for local businesses to have a positive impact on their community because they can be instrumental tools in helping people come together.

Which local organisations or individuals are you most inspired by?

Organisations that are inspire us are the local teams behind Livin, Make a Wish Gold Coast, The Girls in Business Movement and many more. We are also inspired by local business Heaven-yah Gelato who recently donated all their profits in support of restoration of damage by the bush fires, similar to what we are doing.
