Guest Post :: My TVM Sunday with Kirra Smith

Aug 13, 2018 | Guest Post

As every Sunday should be, I recently spent a morning wandering amongst the market stalls, sipping coffee and generally getting immersed in the good vibes that make up The Village Markets.

Arriving at 8.30am, the space was already bursting with locals looking to snap up some goodies. Of course, I headed straight for the coffee van and then onto Huckleberry Flowers for my flower fix. So. Many. Stunning. Options. I chose the most colourful bunch I could find and hovered around as long as possible to soak up the scents.

Next it was onto Olas Supply Co. to choose a few pieces for when winter is finally over (please hurry, we’re done now). I went with the Barefoot Overalls and a white tee to add to my apparently never ending collection.

Onto Lakiki Jewellery for some silver stacking rings and a chat with the lovely Brittiny and then over to Au Fait Living to pick up a new candle (or two). Huge fan of the Coconut and Lime with Elderflower, I’d say I’ve bought at least 30 of them in my lifetime and there’s plenty more to come.

From there I flicked through some vintage goodies at Forgotten Modern (loved everything) and wandered down to Tanora Design to check out their woven bags. Could have bought one of each but managed to stop myself this time.

Same goes for Harvest Clay who make some of the cutest ceramics in the world. I would absolutely LOVE to stock my house with their goods from top to bottom and one day I’ll definitely make that happen. Maybe next time TVM rolls around actually.

Last but not least I stopped in at Rustic Peppermint, who I’d been reading about, to try some of their beautiful vegan skincare. I left with the Revive Polishing Powder and Nourish Oil Cleanser and my skin has never been so sparkly. Highly recommend.

All that shopping, and just life in general, makes me super hungry and my fave Sunday treat, The Wiener Haus, were there to help me out.

One Monica Lewinsky later and I was ready for an ocean dip and a sneaky afternoon nap.

As always, I loved cruising around, chatting to store owners, soaking up the sunshine and purchasing all the pretty things at my absolute favourite Sunday morning spot.

Love you always TVM.
