Happy International Women’s Day to our beautiful community!
As you know, we are passionate about supporting our stallholders and the small businesses we work with. We are equally passionate about female empowerment and being strong, positive role models for our children.
Between us, we also have four little ladies and we are damn proud that they see how much love and passion we put into our work, that we have worked hard to create a business that we love just as much now as the day we started The Village Markets a decade ago. We want to teach our girls to have a voice, to be cheerleaders for their female friends and peers, live a life they love on their own terms and to work hard and continue to fight for equality. After all, we have come so far but we still have a long way to go.
So, in celebration of International Women’s Day, we decided to create this video with our talented friends at Desert Island Media interviewing our own girls, Stevie, Pepper, Lola and Posie, about what being female means to them. We hope you enjoy it.
