We're excited to announce that Mitch Paulsen and Chriddy Black from The Voice Season 8 will be performing live at TVM this Sunday 21st July. This will be one of the first times the Gold Coast based pair has ever played together, so you wont want to miss it!
Born and raised on the Gold Coast, 18 year-old semi-finalist Mitch Paulsen and 26-year-old fan favorite Chris ‘Chriddy’ Black blew audiences away throughout season eight of the top-rated TV show.
The pair will kick off this Sunday's event performing individually and as a duo, following TVM fave Lily Budiasa who is first up at 8:30am.
Touring Victorian artist Steve Cousins will perform at 11am.
TVM is known Australia-wide as being a cultural hub for thousands of creatives over the past 10 years, hosting the likes of international brand Peony swimwear and musicians Ziggy Alberts and Tones and I, prior to their international success.
Having only performed in public twice prior to The Voice, Paulsen says he’s looking forward to playing at TVM this Sunday.
‘The Village Market has the best Sunday atmosphere on the Gold Coast. This will be one of the first gigs we will have done together and we can’t wait to share the stage and sing some tunes,’ says Paulsen.
The Village Markets co-founder Marissa Bowden says it’s exciting for the Coast to be able to celebrate homegrown talent when the pair kicks off this Sundays event.
“We’re excited to have Mitch and Chriddy join us this Sunday for their first live performance since The Voice and allow locals to enjoy the act in a free, relaxed, open-air environment,” says Bowden.
When we discovered the guys were Gold Coast locals we just knew we needed them here at TVM, which is known as the go-to for local creatives across design, art, fashion and music.
The Village Markets is on this Sunday 21 July from 8:30am - 1pm at Burleigh Heads State School.
Some parking is available at the school and in surrounding streets, alternatively there is a large carpark 400m away on Connor Street and ample public transport options withing walking distance.
