New to TVM this Sunday is Flow, art works by Abbey Butterfield.
I discovered flow art a few years ago and loved it instantly. I bought my first supplies, which sat, unused for almost two years, there was excuse after excuse as to why I couldn't do it. I have never characterised myself as a creative person, until now and struggled to work up enough courage to take the plunge.
When I finally did, it became my outlet and opportunity to do something I love doing. As a stay-at-home mum to two little boys, painting at night is my favourite 'me time' activity. After selling art to family members, I decided to start my own little business.
Have you always had a creative background?
Since having children, I have discovered I love being creative. I make and decorate cakes for special occasions for friends and family and I have always loved photography since I was a young teen.
Tell us about the name Flow, how did this come about?
Flow reflects the fluid nature of the medium I work with and how it moves on the canvas.
What products are included within your range?
I have ready made pieces of art available as well as being able to create commission pieces to suit the needs of the customer.
What inspires you creatively?
I am inspired by creating colour combinations to suit customers home. I love creating interesting, conversation pieces.
Why did you choose TVM as a platform for your business?
Having seen the quality of other local markets, TVM stands out. The customers appreciate handmade, one of a kind items.
