Ohh De Naturale is the essence of natural beauty and cleaning products without the ‘nasties’, allowing customers to maintain a chemical free lifestyle for themselves and their loved ones.

Since its inception three years ago, Tanya Turro has created an incredible range of perfume balms, essential oil blends, cleaning sprays and much more which use locally sourced ingredients, no chemicals, no parabens, are cruelty free and 100% vegan!

Tanya’s passion to introduce a beautiful natural option can help people lead a much healthier life change by eliminating the chemical overload. She aims to educate and create awareness on how everyday chemicals can lead to an array of issues, and other ways to smell great without chemical saturation.

What made your pursue your creative passion?

My journey through 11 years of IVF and fertility struggles has lead me to combine my love for all things natural and the enjoyment of interacting with people and sales. I learnt a lot on my journey to motherhood and most importantly I want to share the importance of Natural choices for everyday living to limit the toxic exposure people have in their lives through day to day commercial body & cleaning products. I am extremely passionate about Ohh De Naturale and how it can offer people a much healthier life change with eliminating the chemical overload and introducing a beautiful natural option that will benefit all people including the family dog.

When did you take the plunge and start your own business?

Ohh De Naturale is in its infancy but growing strong. I started out in early 2019 with the live website, social media presence & market stalls. All the research and testing started within the past 3 years. I have only ever tested on cool peeps and their offspring, ha.

What does your brand consist of?

Ohh De Naturale has a range of 11 Solid Perfume Balms, Luxury Clay & Salt Soaks, Luxury Raw Sugar Scrubs, Signature 100% Pure Essential Oil blends, foam wash and cleaning spray which all have amazing benefits.

Where is the label designed and made?

Absolutely every ingredient, packaging, labeling & product creating is done here in Australia, All my suppliers are Australian. I pride myself on keeping all aspects of this business within the family. All essential oils are sourced here in Australia. I physically make every single item myself here in Brisbane. Australia creates and supports amazing businesses and my little business is no different. NO money is sent off shore. I am very proud of this and want to support other local businesses.

What inspires you? 

I am driven by changing people, educating them on other ways to smell great without chemical saturation. Education and awareness on how everyday chemicals can really lead to an array of issues for every person. I am living proof of that. So so many people are completely unaware of how synthetics and harmful chemicals are in our everyday products. Even those products that say plant based are not always free from synthetics. This drives me to show people not just tell them. I am very excited to let the customers touch, feel, smell and try Ohh De Naturale's products. I have complete faith in my range and I know that people love it as much as I do. Being aware of something allows people to make the right choices.

What are your plans for the brand and where do you hope it takes you?

My dream and goal is for my products to be on the shelves at great health stores, Naturopaths clinic's, salon's, spa's and be supported by lovely people who can truly appreciate, be confident, benefit and continue to use my products and maintain a chemical free lifestyle for themselves and their loved ones. Being a mum of two little boys I am extremely proud that I am teaching them how to live a non toxic life and therefore they will live a healthier life.

What were the biggest challenges when launching your brand?

My biggest challenge has been gaining exposure through Social Media and reaching enough followers and customers to then direct towards the website. As we all know having a lot of followers doesn't necessarily reflect onto the amount of sales you make. Instagram and Facebook merely want to charge absorbent prices for your social media posts to reach more people. I have gone from 800 followers on Instagram to 588 overnight. This crushes me.

Ohh De Naturale seems to be gaining more exposure via our market stalls than on any other platforms.

I have found the social media exposure very difficult and really want to gain more sales through it. It really bugs me how we go from over 800 to 588 overnight. I find that insane. However I am remaining positive that we can change this.
